FEBRUARY 21. CHERKESSK. In Karachay-Cherkessia, a regional project was launched to introduce the inhabitants of the region to sports.
“About 8,000 people will become participants in the large-scale regional program “Sport for Us”, launched in Karachay-Cherkessia,” Rustam Dzhatdoev, head of the department of the Ministry of Sports of the KChR, told the RIA “Karachay-Cherkessia” correspondent.
He stressed that as part of the social program for teaching the population various sports, it is planned to practice classes in team and mass sports, including orienteering, skating, skiing, basketball, swimming, handball and others.
“The program to train residents of Karachay-Cherkessia in various sports will be implemented during 2022, if the program is successful at the end of the year, we plan to further develop it,” said R. Dzhatdoev.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that all classes will be free of charge.
“The program to attract residents of the region to sports will be implemented in parallel with ongoing public events. In particular, in early February, during the Ice of Our Hope speed skating competition, several dozen people taught how to skate. And last weekend, before the Ski Track of Russia, more than a hundred people were taught the basic skills of skiing,” said the head of the department of physical culture and sports.
It should be said that the implementation of the project will allow eight thousand people to instill sports skills in 2022.
Recall that with the help of the program, people, for various reasons, including financial or social, who did not have the opportunity to play sports, will be able to do this with the support of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Karachay-Cherkessia.
