Sports weekend: skiing, boxing and athletics
March 11-12, 2017 was held municipal stage of the Winter Festival of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex Ready for work and defense, tests in the discipline – shooting from an air rifle. 86 people passed the tests, 23 of them are adults, 63 are students of educational institutions.
March 12, 2017 in the Cross-country skiing department of the Children's Sports and Youth Sports Department on the basis of the sports Voskhod r.p. Lesogorsk hosted competitions in cross-country skiing Closing of the sports season. 60 people went to the final ski track of the year.

March 12, 2017 On the basis of the Athletics department of the regional Palace of Sports for Children and Youth, a sports festival Forward, girls!, Dedicated to International Women's Day, was held.
8 teams took part in the competition, including:
– 2 teams Sport and Torn sneakers of the department Athletics, trainer-teacher Mitusov Viktor Stanislavovich;
– 2 teams Extreme and Comet of the Volleyball department, trainer-teacher Vasilevskaya Oksana Valerievna;
– 2 teams Coca-Cola and Legion of school No. 2 r.p. Oktyabrsky, leaders Kuzmenkova Valentina Alekseevna, Tomashova Galina Vladimirovna;

For 2 hours, the girls had to take part in various sports relay races and competitions, show strength, agility and speed.

The winners and prize -winners of the competition were awarded the diplomas of the Sports Palace for children and youth.
From March 9 to March 12, 2017, a regional boxing championship among young men born in 2003-2004 was held in the Schelekhovo sports hall, which was organized by the Russian Federations of Trade Unions of Russia (FSO PR)
The competition was attended by 58 athletes of their cities Irkutsk, Shelekhovo, Angarsk, Slyudyanka, Tulun, Svirsk and the Chunsky district.
Chunsky district was represented by Ivan Tikhonov and Vadim Metlyaev, pupils of the Boxing Department of the Sports Palace for children and youth. According to the results of the competition, Vadim Metlyaev won 3 place, Ivan Tikhonov became the winner of the championship.
Boxing competitions took place for two days and carried a qualifying character. The winners of the championship will represent the Irkutsk region at the All -Russian Championship in Barnaul from April 4 to 9, 2017.
