In the period from 28 to 29 May in Voronezh, the architectural forum Architecture of the VRN was held. The traditional event is organized by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Voronezh Region with the support of the Union of Architects of Russia.

Recall that in 2020, the events of the annual forum were held remotely due to the complicated epidemiological situation. The participants were involved in a series of Internet conferences City and People, as well as in the correspondence ceremony of awarding the winners of the review competition.

In 2021, the forum was accompanied by topical slogans – “Now for real” and “Speak to the city”. The architects' meetings were organized in a democratic atmosphere of street venues and historical buildings, such as the Winzavod and the former distillery, which today houses the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Voronezh Region.

Separately, it should be noted that this year Voronezh became the venue for the final stage of the regional module of the federal professional development program Architects.rf. The project is being implemented by Joint Stock Company DOM.RF in strategic partnership with the Strelka Institute with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Construction of Russia. More than 150 participants and graduates of the program, who are specialists in the field of urban planning, architecture and urbanism, united within the framework of the VRN Architecture forum to discuss the key problems of their chosen professional field. In total, more than 2,000 people became guests of the large-scale meeting.

The central plenary session of the forum was devoted to the implementation of regional pilot projects for the integrated development of territories based on the KRT Standards. The number of authoritative experts who spoke as speakers at various forum events included: political scientist Ekaterina Shulman, Executive Director of the Institute for Urban Economics Foundation Tatiana Polidi, head of the architectural bureau Meganom Yuri Grigoryan, editor -in -chief of the project Architectural Excesses Pavel Gnilorybov, deputy director of the Dom.rf Foundation Anton Finogenes, chief architect of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Irina Alekseeva, partner of KB Strelka Alexey Muratov, Minister of Urban Development and Development of Aglomerations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Marina Rakova.

A distinctive feature of the BRN business program in 2021 was interdisciplinary. So, one of the events of the forum was devoted to modern challenges related to the health and influence of the urban environment factors on it. Specialists of the analytical center of the Moscow urban forum presented their study on this subject. In turn, the authors of the architectural magazine Baltic Project Together with the creator of the project of the Voronezh crematorium Pavel Stefanov They proposed to discuss the topic of architecture and death infrastructure in Russia.

Active participation in the diverse events of the forum was also taken by members of the Union of Architects of Russia. So, the first vice president of the SAR Vladimir Bakeev Together with the assistant governor of the Voronezh region and the head of the SAR association in the Central Federal District Konstantin Kuznetsov They performed within the framework of the session on the features of the coordination of the architectural appearance of objects and the role of urban planning councils in the modern decision -making system.
