The Department of Theory and Methods for several years has been working closely with the GUO “Nursery-Sad No. 5 of Gomel” on Olympic education. More than one joint event was held with the participation of members of the volunteer detachment of the Department of Mercy to promote a healthy lifestyle, physical culture and sports, to activate the work on the formation of preschool children's interest in physical exercises through familiarization with the moral, aesthetic experience of the Olympic Games.
On December 5, as part of the general university week of the volunteer in the Museum-Laboratory of Sports Glory of the Gomel region, the event “Sport around us” was held. Our guests were pupils of the senior group of the sponsored institution of preschool education. During the cognitive conversation-excursion (with a quiz, riddles, a cartoon show), babies in an accessible form told about sports, athletes, competitions and fans. At the same time, the corresponding exhibits of the museum were demonstrated. It should be noted that the children are very active and with pleasure and most importantly answered questions correctly. And when they were allowed to pick up cups, football balls, to try on medals, there was no limit to delight and joy.
At the end there were gifts: “Sports ABC for babies ″, booklets“ Museum-laboratory of sports glory of the Gomel region ”and sweet treats.
The preparation and conduct of this event was attended by teachers of O. Fomchenko, M. Yavorskaya (leaders of the volunteer detachment Mercy) and the leading laboratory assistant of the department of M. Volkov.
And we also managed to organize a tour of the biology museum for our guests, so visiting our university has become a real journey for children.
