The results of the sports year in the Republic of Tatarstan were summed up today at a press conference by the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and the General Director of the ANO Directorate of Sports and Social Projects Maxim Denisov. In addition, the media teams of the Republic of Tatarstan, athletes of the Special Olympics of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Directorate of Sports Social Projects took part in a friendly floorball match. “The outgoing year was not easy and was marked by great events. We are grateful to our colleagues from the Ministry of Sports of Russia, with whom we work on all our projects. This year we have done a lot of work on the construction of sports infrastructure since the Universiade, but not only in Kazan, but throughout the entire republic. Despite the general quarantine, border closures, we still achieved success both in the international arena and in the Russian championships. We were among the first to open facilities for athletes, opened sports schools and returned spectators to the stands. I would like to thank this year, and we are moving forward with optimism. We are waiting for the Olympic year, many stages of world cups, so we continue our great work on the development of the sports industry,” said the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov.

Maxim Denisov, in turn, spoke about the international events that are planned to be held over the coming year and at the beginning of the next year, 2022. “I’ll note right away: when organizing events, all security measures that time dictates to us will be observed; they will be held in accordance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan,” the head of the Directorate emphasized.

Already in February, Kazan will host the All-Russian Special Olympics in winter sports. This is a test event ahead of the Special Olympics 2022 World Winter Games.

“For the Republic of Tatarstan, the news about the holding of the 2022 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Kazan was a great joy. Competitions for people with intellectual disabilities are very important, they require serious and thorough preparation. We understand all the responsibility entrusted to us,” Denisov said.

Due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, the International Special Olympics made a decision on the non-participation of foreign athletes in the Spartakiad in February 2021.Only Russian athletes will take part in the competition.

Carrying out a test event will make it possible to verify equipment, personnel and organization of activities on the eve of the games of 2022.

The Spartakiad will be held on February 3-8 in 6 sports (snowshields, skiing, skiing, snowboarding, figure skating and a short track). The estimated number of athletes is up to 800 people. Competitions will go to 4 objects: Kazan GOSS, training stadium of the Burevestnik USK, in the Lokomotiv sports complex and at the Sports Palace.

The calendar of the competition of the 2021st is very rich. Competitions under the auspices of Fina (stages of world series) will continue, which in 2020 were postponed in connection with pandemia. In 2021, under the auspices of the Fina, the stage of the World Fina series for jumping in the water (March 19-21), the stage of the World Fina series for synchronized swimming (April 16-18) and the FINA World Cup (October 28-31).

In Kazan, the Center for the Development of Water Sports Fina, which has existed in Tatarstan, has also operates for 2 years. The main goal of the Center is to create the most favorable conditions for the effective disclosure of the potential of athletes representing countries with insignificant national achievements in swimming, improving the qualification of coaches and judges from Russia and nearby countries, conducting educational programs for trainers and judges, etc. By decision of the FINA, the international team of athletes Kazan will be replenished with 13 swimmers and 7 jumpers in water from Georgia, Nigeria, Guatemala, Afghanistan, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Rwanda, Angola, Ghana, Tajikistan, Albania, Columbia, Venezuela, Lithuania, Cuba. It is planned that athletes will be engaged in the leadership of the Coaches of the FINA Development Center throughout the year.

2020 became landmark for the development of extreme sports in Tatarstan – thanks to the opening of the Uraam park. On this site, I All -Russian Street Games were held, in which 1074 athletes from more than 20 regions of Russia took part. For 2 competitive days, the games were visited by more than 8 thousand spectators. Thanks to the direct broadcast of the competition, more than 500 thousand people saw. Positive reviews were received from the All -Russian federations for sports, the words of gratitude to the festival participants. In order to popularize and develop such sports, it is planned to conduct games annually.

Another important project, which was also transferred to 2021 – I games of the CIS countries. It is planned that they will be held on September 4-11.

The European Swiming Championship Len (25 m) will be held at the Palace of Water Sports on November 2-7, 2021. Competitions will be held in 19 disciplines for men and women (17 individual and 2 relay races). The expected number of athletes is 650-700 people.

Maxim Denisov focused on how the World Winter Winter Games of the Special Olympiad of 2022 will be organized. Recall that at the federal level the coordination of training is carried out by the Ministry of Sports of Russia.Representatives of the movement of a special Olympiad highly appreciate the work on preparing for competitions at the federal and regional levels.

The games are expected to participate 2000 athletes and junifid partner (athletes without the peculiarities of intellectual development) from 108 countries.

World Winter Games of Special Olympiads include competitions in 7 sports: skiing, snowboarding, barbol, skiing, figure skating, short track and snowprokes. For the games, it is planned to use 5 sports facilities: Sviyaga GACs will host competitions in skiing and snowboarding, at the stadium Petrel – for running at snowshields, at the Kazan Academy of Tennis – in the barbol, in the Sports Palace – Figure Skating and Short -Treku, in the ski-biathlon complex, on skiing.

The opening and closing ceremony will be held on January 22 and 28, respectively. The object of their holding is Tatneft Arena. The concept of ceremonies is being developed.

Another long -term social project, on which the team of ANO “Directorate of Sports and Social Projects” is working – the implementation of the VFSK TRP.

One of the strategic tasks facing the sports industry is to increase the effectiveness of the TRP complex as a tool for involving the population in regular physical education and sports.

The head of the directorate recalled that on March 11, 2021 it would be exactly 90 years since the introduction of the TRP (USSR) on the territory of Russia (1931), the continuation of which is the revived modern TRP complex.

Next year, the Ministry of Sports of Russia is planned to integrate in all provisions on the implementation of physical and sporting measures of testing elements according to the standards of the TRP, as well as holding the decades of the TRP in March 2021, dedicated to the commemorative date of the 90th anniversary of the complex.

Denisov also recalled that work with Soyuzmultfilm studio to create an animated series about the life of official TSTO talismans continues. “The concept of the series was written, characters and main characters are identified, active work is underway to digitize and transfer them into a three -dimensional image with the participation of federal ambassadors of the TRP and eminent athletes,” said Maxim Denisov.
